In this lesson I am going to introduce you to Color Theory and why it is important for us as Photographers. Color can have a strong psychological effect on our viewer. It is important for us to understand that to use color to help tell the story of our compositions.
In Part 2 we are going to take your Color Theory knowledge to new heights! We will discuss the Color Wheels, Color Properties, Color Relationships, Color Interaction, and what you can take away from this Color Theory knowledge.
In Lesson 3 we will discuss the tools in Photoshop that you can use to explore Color Theory. These tools will be used from least precise to absolute precision. This lesson will not cover every tool in Photoshop for Color Theory that would take days 🙂 It is a sampling of some of my favorites and more of an introduction than a master class.
In this last lesson, we will Color Grade a photo to change and alter the mood to be more like what we felt when we were there. This is where we will take our knowledge of Color Theory and apply it to our image through Color Grading. We will use 3 different adjustment layers for this process.
