    I love this package – Blake put all the tools into one box!
    Actually, having a well developed set of profiles, the auto adjustment and a nice collection of tone and color presets all under one roof makes processing so much faster and more efficient.

    What I absolutely love: just after clicking the auto adjustment preset I DO clearly see the potential of a chosen profile even before I refine the settings.

    No expert level needed – IP² is easy to use. Just the mouse over shows the preview of a profile or preset effect – I just need to choose and click 🙂 The filter set of local adjustment presets is then the cherry on the cake.

    The workflow resulting from IP² is streamlined and works from scratch – little by little I build tones and color, in small but fast steps that add up until the image is prepared for sending over to PS.

    I won’t be back ome for a couple months, so I’m having to use CS6 and Lightroom CC. I normally use ACR but the presets won’t work, co I tried onLrCC and loved the resultsw. It was more intuitive than I thought after I watched the videos. I like a little science behind my tutorials and Blake made it easy to understqand. Highly recommended. I’m always excited when I receive an email from Blake announcing a new video because I know it will have some great info that is not found in other videos. I love that he is always finding new and better processing techniques that really work. I have been using Blake’s Camera Raw presets since they came out and they have not failed me.     Very useful, now integral part of my workflow. In fact, for smart objects, I use camera raw filter to make use of these filters in post processing. The variety is great and easy to observe changes to the image by rolling the pointer over the Profiles and/or Presets. Also, just scanning these Profiles and Presets selections as starting point’s is great.

    I was looking for this kind of preset since long time! I really enjoy your workflow with these. However, I found a small bug. When I use your presets in Lightroom and then open in Photoshop as smart object, the image profile is not working. I have to select it again in ACR to have it work fine. Excuse my bad english!

    I am cautious when purchasing the many ‘courses’ offered on the internet, however I have subscribed and purchased most of Blake’s F.64 Academy/Elite. Taking into account I seldom post-process my photographs the same way, IPx2 is a great option to start the process.

    I’ve been a big fan of Blake for some years after I was first introdeuced ti him by On1; his teaching style really suits my preferred way of learning. I have purchased many of his Photshop Foundations courses, ZSE and Pallette Effects, all of which I use regualrly and routinely. Through Blake I’ve come to appreciate Jim Welninski. The improvement in my editing skills and artistic vision is very satisfying.
    This latest offering, though, is a mixed bag. The training to use ACR/LR more systematically is excellent and already having a positive effect. However, having invested a lot of time and money to learn and use Photoshop and LR/ACR creatively I find IP2 takes me back down the route of playing with somebody else’s presets and profiles, exactly what I was trying to escape in the first place. Yes, it’s quicker and systematic but I find it inhibits me and stops me thinking about what I want to achieve.
    So while I appreciate the underlying ideas, the ACR/LR workflow and some of the outputs, I won’t be employing the presets or profiles.

Yet, there is also advanced training on how to make your own profile/presets with instruction on what settings to use/avoid. With this new set up, I can see that a number of my photos can be finished in ACR/Lightroom alone. (But I’m never giving up Photoshop for my “Best of Best” or required layer work.)

    I have bought many things from Blake. All very good and still use them. This one though has fundamentally changed my workflow and made me way more efficient. I am surprised and amazed at how many times I just use the prests and profiles as get results that just work. There I times I don’t do anything in Photoshop at all and other times I tweak.

    The only reason I don’t give it a five is because I use a custom Real RAW Color Profile. I made that name up. Basically it is a Real RAW profile, but I incorporated the Color Checker Passport with it. Thus, Real RAW Color.

    I don’t often write reviews, reserving that feedback for products I really use, really like and really make a difference. Blake’s IP2 Presets, Profiles and the education videos that are included with them hit the target on three criteria. First off, I think referring to these as ‘presets’ is really a misnomer and will not satisfy most customers who are merely looking for a one-click-look type of preset. These are not looks, they are preparatory steps to facilitate the creation of RAW files with maxed out potential before any artistic effect applications in PS or LR (Don’t get me wrong. You can get excellent results by skillfully applying these in LR or ACR without resorting to PS).

    The key in my experience is that these ‘profiles/presets’ allow me to quickly realize the full potential of my RAW files by facilitating basic steps I have routinely taken with almost all my files in preparing them for artistic effects. I think a name like “Facilitators” or “Expediters” would be better nomenclature for how these are used and what they make possible. I’ve taken Blakes courses (lots of them) and have developed a methodical workflow to my RAW processing based on what I learned. Application of the routine steps with each image was effective, but relatively slow in terms of getting the images to the point that I really let the artistic effect juices go. I have found that by using these ‘preset/profiles’ I can get to the artistic stage much quicker. I’m not already burned-out before the fun stuff!

    The variety of combinations possible by combining these individual components is remarkably high, making them useful in virtually any photographic setting or genre. I’ve used them with great satisfaction with landscapes, architecture, macro and abstract images.

    Bottom line is, I’ve learned how to get from point A to point E from Blake’s great educational material. Now, with his latest resource set, I can get there much, much quicker and achieve files that realize the full power and potential buried in my RAW images (they work great with jpegs too).

    I bought ’em. I use /em, I love ’em! You will too!

    Blake’s insights about PS-processing order and the resulting profile/presets created are the biggest leap in my post processing since my shift to raw. I’ve previously experienced the “no impact” adjustment layers and wrote it off as an Adobe bug. No more of that. Saying it’s a big deal doesn’t scratch the surface.

    Since purchasing and downloading the profiles and presets I’m using them and following the process in Lightroom. As I started using them I tried to use a preset from every subset e.g. Curve, Grade Tone, Calibrations etc., but with use I have found some don’t need all those adjustments from the presets but they are great starters.
    Depending on the photo and what I want to do with it I may be done in Lightroom and with others I move into photoshop.
    Yes, I feel that these tools have helped to shorten the overall time I spend on a photo to get it ready for Photoshop.

    Extremely easy to install & use even without watching the educational videos. The teaching videos however give complete instructions on how to use & how the presets & profiles were made. Even teaches you how to make your own. For some, the ip2 profiles & presets may be all you need for a finished photo, while for power users these tools will vastly improve RAW workflow before going into Photoshop for local corrections, artistic effects & color grading. Very efficient time saver with predictable results!

    Well done and very informative. I definitely plan on using this approach in my work. I look forward to making my own profile/presets.

    I wish there had been more in depth info on why you choose a profile/preset. I have looked at all of the videos a second time including video 4 and still feel like it’s somewhat a shot in the dark picking a proper combo prior to basic adjustments. Perhaps this will come with time but would love to watch you assess images and move into Photoshop. I would like to see perhaps using several of these profile/presets on the same image to appreciate possible difficulties in Photoshop if the wrong profile/preset is chosen. Watching you think out loud with an image you see for the first time and how you approach that image with an eye toward a finished Photoshop product would help. Perhaps it is not as critical as I make it out to be and this will come with practice. Any guidance to shorten my practice time would be greatly appreciated.

    The Filter set is interesting and may save time on selected images. I am fond of the range mask and use it often. It will be fun to make my own These will probably be useful when using Adobe camera roll as a smart filter in Photoshop. Thanks for the info on technique on how to create your own.     As to the presest & filter pack, I wonder if you’re aware of just how revolutionary this product is. I have been a Lightroom user from the beginning, so I’m kind of a “power user,” and having these tools developed and assembled the way that you have, is something that I am ecstatic about because it makes the workflow so much more fluid.
    You might want to consider continuing development of this concept and perhaps just charging a “small fee” for the revisions rather than just moving on from it.
    I do mean it when I say that this is revolutionary in Lightroom workflow because there is nothing else like it.

    I finally had a chance to put the IP2 – Preset, Profiles, Education and Filter Set to the test. I would highly recommend these tools for Lightroom and Adobe Camera tools as a great way to make your workflow more efficient while producing much better results. IP2 gives you the power to make amazing adjustments at the Raw level before going into Photoshop. Blake’s IP2 presets are tools that let you quickly see the impact of the specific preset on your image and does so in a natural workflow progression. As with all of Blake’e education, it’s easy to follow, comprehensive and explains the how and why behind the IP2 process. Many of these presets were prepared based on adjustments made in LR/ACR and then Photoshop. Therefore, if you’re not using Photoshop, you may get some of the benefits Photoshop provides on your images. Blake also explains the step-by-step process for making your own presets. So far I have found that after using Blake’s IP2 tools that I am spending less time and effort in Photoshop to processing my images to a finished product.

    Although I was about half-way through Blake’s tutorials and exercises in the 30 Days to Photoshop Mastery, I immediately took a break when I got the Intelligent Presets and Profiles Course in January. As he says relating to Photoshop, “garbage in, garbage out” and as a Lightroom user since 2007, I knew I had to improve my LR outputs taking advantage of the IP2 techniques.
    In the last two weeks and as a test while reviewing the IP2 course, I’ve been using the Blake’s techniques to selectively upgrade my 2007 Alaska 2MB JPEGS and the results are great! Can’t wait to get into my old RAW files with the IP2 techniques after I’ve finished the PS Master Course.

I’ve only just started with this product, but so far it is novel and will take a lot more time to fully appreciate. I’m trying to acquire the necessary tools to round out my use and understanding of PP, while at the same time learning to “see” which elements of the photo need attention and how to get there. As I acquire more experience and confidence, I’ll also be interested in getting you new color panel kit.

    Good job. To me it’s like painting. I shoot raw, no filters just give me the negative. If it’s there I’ll find what I want to use. Lightroom is wonderful and gets better all the time. But Blake has adjusted each of these controls to a range of different types of pictures, and he makes them accessible in one place that leverages the powerful preview feature.     Because I do 95% processing in ACR & PS, I was interested in you enriching my ACR skills. Though your engineering is brilliant…I still do not relate well to presets. They are global efforts that, for me, homogenizes images. Their effects are mostly like everyone’s images found on the internet. For creativity however, I did discover, that in PS, I can SELECT specific items or parts of the image and choose to apply a preset.

    I have a Wacom monitor. As a resource, I capture 5 images on my Canon 5D IV. I may use UP TO the 5 images for ACR’s HDR…but I avoid the screaming colors and tones. I sequence my ACR/PS work on contrasts, depth of image, color balance, texture and so on.

    I search for a feel. Because ACR is basically global, I go to PS to make my PS selections using layers and other tools, etc.. With many PS selections, I may return to ACR to get the effect I feel.

    I cannot explain verbally…in words…my intuitive choices….it is all visual processing…that global presets cannot do for me. Most all captured images are seemingly different…with different needs. Because my first day’s burst of visual enthusiasm blinds me to see all that needs to improved, I may do the work over several attempts.

    Regarding your style of teaching…it remains difficult for me. I have basic learning issues in most all forms of sequencing. I compensate by making word pictures as you or anyone who teaches. This is why I can relate more to Matt…he seems to pause, talks far less rapid, far less complex sentences, far less verbal overload. I have time to picture process.

    Your brilliant, deep research of PS seems less necessary for me. I have no regrets saying this…because I am sure there are others like me.

    I know your style is NEEDED for mechanical thinking followers, but maybe not so much for those of us who are primary picture thinkers.

    I do support what you do…PLEASE know that!!! Do more!
