Want to explore your vision but don’t know where to begin?

For the better part of two decades, I’ve been teaching photographers how to enhance their skills. However, I’ve noticed a common issue: many photographers struggle to match their vision with their editing workflow. After thousands of hours of refining techniques, I finally have an incredibly easy-to-follow workflow ready for you, all integrated into The Visionary Panel.

Are you frustrated with your photo editing process to achieve your vision? You’re not alone. Many photographers feel lost, jumping from one technique to the next without seeing the results they want. The traditional focus on techniques can be overwhelming and leave you feeling stuck.

That’s where The Visionary Panel comes in.

With The Visionary Panel, you’ll embark on a comprehensive journey exploring your vision with a viewer-focused workflow. You’ll learn how to identify and enhance focal points, create engaging compositions, and produce images that truly captivate your audience.

The course includes 30 videos, detailed documentation, and follow-along images, all designed to make the editing process intuitive and effective all while exploring your most valuable asset, your vision! The Visionary Panel transforms complexity into clarity, providing you with practical skills you can apply immediately to elevate your photography from ‘meh’ to magnificent.

Embrace a workflow that works every time and watch your photography transcend ordinary limitations. Capture not just images, but emotions and stories, all through the power of a viewer-focused approach, your vision, and The Visionary Panel.

Think like a Painter
To create images that truly captivate your audience, it’s a great idea to study art that’s been doing just that for centuries. I believe the secret to great photos lies in learning from master painters.

How is that possible? Painters work additively, building their compositions from scratch on a white canvas with various pigments. They understand the importance of choosing the right colors to convey a specific mood and using light to guide the viewer’s gaze.

Think about it: Photography has been around for about 200 years, while the oldest paintings date back 40,000 years! Take a look at “Mount Corcoran” by Albert Bierstadt as an example.

Observe closely at how Bierstadt handled the light in this painting.

There are 3 key areas he wanted the viewers eye to navigate to, the mountains, the waterfall, and the bear going to get a drink from the lake.

Bierstadt used light in those places to make them stand out over the rest of the subjects on the canvas. It’s a simple idea, but profound in execution.

It seems obvious, right?  Then why aren’t you using light like that in your photos?

As photographers, we tend to keep the light where it was when we photographed our subject, but we aren’t stuck with poor light!  Everyone says, “want better photos, shoot in better light!”  There is definitely some truth to that, so I say, “Want better photos? MAKE better light!”  Learn to make light like a painter and you’ll learn the art of captivating your viewer.  It’s really that simple and I can show you how.

Take a look at the before and after images below, pay specific attention to where the light is and how it affects the viewers gaze.

The straight-out-of-camera version lacks color and the composition is left-side weighted. Regardless of the subject matter, the viewer won’t take much time to look at the photo. They’ll stay “locked up” in the lower left, making the composition feel off balance. Your viewer wants to experience the place just like you did. Make them an experience!

The processed version places a strong emphasis on color to engage the viewer’s senses.  There is a clear path of focal points from the top right corner of the image through the lower left corner.  The viewer will be more inclined to follow the light path and engage with the image longer.

Built by a Painter for Photographers!

I used to be a painter. In fact, I have more years of experience with paint than I do with a camera. When I transitioned to photo editing, I initially overlooked some of the crucial elements from my painting background because I was working with a different medium.

Take color mixing, for example. In painting, if I wanted to intensify the color red, I wouldn’t simply use more red. Instead, I’d add a hint of yellow or even a touch of black to increase its intensity. But in photography, we often just reach for the saturation slider. Increasing the saturation of red only makes it more red; it doesn’t effectively enhance the color’s intensity.

For years, I experimented with various Photoshop adjustments, trying to manipulate photo colors as I would with paint. However, no tool provided satisfying results. That’s where the Visionary Panel comes in.

One of the key benefits of the Visionary Panel is in its color tab. You’ll find sliders for each color, but these don’t merely adjust saturation. They mix the colors like a painter, achieving a natural-looking intensity without oversaturation.

NOT Your Standard Editing Approach

The Visionary Panel is NOT your standard Photoshop Panel.  When most people hear the word “Panel” in context to Photoshop, they immediately think of Luminosity Masks.  While Luminosity Masks are a great way to target specific areas of tone in your image, they DO NOT target how your viewer reads an image.

The brain sees everything in terms of clusters.  It does this to organize information for us rather quickly so we don’t need to spend a time looking at every little detail.  Most panels target the details, not how the viewer actually sees an image.

The Visionary Panel takes a different approach.  The Tone Tab in the Visionary Panel was designed to target what the viewer sees so you can make a more engaging experience for them with the first button you see.  This is a revolutionary approach to photo editing as it requires fewer steps with equal or better impact than your standard editing approach.

Why You Should Consider the Visionary Panel?

It’s a relatively simple panel built for a complex task.

If you find yourself tweaking sliders endlessly, jumping from one technique to the next, and still not feeling satisfied with your photos, you’re not alone. Most of us have been there! Editing can often feel like a guessing game, full of trial and error and overly complicated methods. But why is that?

I believe it’s because we’ve been taught to edit our images all wrong. Traditional photo education focuses too much on tools and techniques. But we don’t create images for tools and techniques, do we? We create them for people.

That’s where The Visionary Panel comes in. This course, along with the panel, will change your mindset. You’ll learn the WHY behind each step in post-production so you can create visually stunning images that truly connect with your viewers.

The Visionary panel will shift your focus and help you develop a simple workflow that works EVERY Time!

Frequently Asked Questions
The VISIONARY Panel •

I just want the panel, do I have to buy the education too?

I do not sell the education and the panel separately.  While the Visionary panel is quite powerful and even rather self-explanatory, I refuse to separate it from the education.

This course includes about two and a half hours of theory education alone. The theory and the accompanying workflow videos are critical for understanding how to use the visionary panel efficiently.  In my opinion, that’d be like selling you a car without a motor. Sure, you could push the vehicle home, but wouldn’t it be nice if you could just drive it instead?

No matter the offer, the panel and the education are inseparable.

What version of Photoshop do I need?

Photoshop CC subscribers will have no issues installing the panel on either a Mac or a PC.   It will also work natively with M1 or M2 Mac computers as it is  a UXP panel.

This will NOT work in Photoshop CS6.

I have many of your other panels, does this one replace them?

Nope!  That’s kind of like asking a car dealership if your 2024 vehicle will stop working after the 2025 model is released.

I tend to consider all my products individual-use items, meaning that they will function perfectly on their own. However, they can also work well in tandem.

I am promoting a new workflow with this panel, but that doesn’t mean my other panels and their workflow are now obsolete.

What if I know nothing about Painting or Art History?

No worries!  I don’t expect photographers to research art history as extensively as I had to in art school.  Nor do I expect photographers to learn how to paint.

In this course, I’ll give you all the knowledge you need to incorporate a painter’s ideology into your photo workflow.  I’ll even give you some brief art history lessons, and if you’re so inclined, I’ll give you some strategies on how to study art.

I don't consider myself an artist with artistic vision, is this for me?

Heck yes!  I think you have artistic vision. No, I KNOW you have artistic vision; you just haven’t found it yet!

This course will help you dive deep into your vision using the Visionary Panel and the education provided in the videos.  No sweat, you don’t need to be an artist to take full advantage of this course or panel.  But, be careful, you may start considering yourself an artist by the time you’re done!

About Blake Rudis

Hey, I’m Blake Rudis, and I’m what you’d call a Photoshop fanatic. All my life, I’ve been trying to capture and edit photos that share my vision, and for the last decade, I’ve been teaching others how to do the same.

In 2010 I launched a blog. While initially a way of showcasing my work, before long, thousands of people were visiting, asking me how I created the shots and art displayed. It quickly turned into an education platform.

So I founded f.64 Academy – a fully comprehensive “online school” for those wanting to learn how to use Photoshop to create the best-looking photos and showcase their vision.  I place a strong emphasis on foundational knowledge like tone and color theory. Since then, I’ve helped tens of hundreds of thousands of men and women learn basic, intermediate, and advanced Photoshop skills.

After years of developing techniques, panels, tools, and tutorials for Photoshop, I’m excited to share this new revolutionary workflow and panel with you.
