Blend If can also be used for Sharpening. For sharpening, we want to do the opposite of Noise Reduction. Since Noise is typically in our dark areas, we want to avoid sharpening the dark areas in the photo. We will use a Blend If setting that favors the underlying layer’s midtones and highlights.
