The Vision Sessions: BRAD GLASS • S1E4

or log in to view this course.

This Vision Session follows Brad Glass’ journey as he confronts the challenge of transforming a church interior photograph from a study in architecture into a portrait of light itself. What begins as a scene dominated by pillars, domes, and structural weight evolves into an exploration of illumination as the true subject. Across these lessons, we trace not only the technical edits but also the artistic decisions that allow the light to become present, radiant, and alive within the image.

From initial cleanup and planning to tone sculpting, color work, and the layering of creative effects, the workflow reveals how vision can shift when the subject is redefined. Brad learns to let go of architectural precision and instead shape an atmosphere where warmth, clarity, and presence guide the viewer’s experience. Brad pushed the boundaries of what it means to let vision lead the process.

The result is more than just a refined photograph. It’s a transformation of perspective, where light ceases to be an accent and becomes the story itself. By the end, Brad not only completes an image truer to his vision but also demonstrates how reframing the subject of a photograph can open the door to much deeper emotional and artistic expression.

“It’s a portrait of light…
& warmth…
with a voice that refuses to be hidden.”

This Vision Session touches on personal reflections and themes of light that naturally led into a faith-based conversation. Whether or not you share those beliefs, I encourage you to focus on how the ideas connect to vision, emotion, and storytelling in your own work.
