This Vision Session follows TC’s journey as he works to portray the majesty of the Grand Tetons and the quiet beauty of the horses grazing before them. What begins as a scene that felt flat, disconnected, or “like a composite” becomes the foundation for a deeper exploration of depth, color separation, and emotional intent. Together, we revisit the original experience, the temperature, scale, mood, & memory, and discover how each of those elements can inform how the image is shaped.

Across these lessons, I’ll show how to balance distant haze with foreground clarity, how to give each subject its own space, and how to use tone and color to guide the viewer’s eye. We explore multiple creative interpretations, from natural realism to warm Western cinematic grading and even a soft vintage look. Through it all, TC’s willingness to push past old habits and embrace new thinking becomes the heart of the session.

The result is more than a refined photograph. It’s a breakthrough in how TC approaches his work; less about fighting his image and more about listening to it. By the end, the horses, the mountains, and the light all come together in a way that finally matches the awe he felt in that moment.

It’s a turning point…
born from honesty & new thinking…
and from TC finally trusting the artist he’s becoming
