As member of the photo club FODIFI Wondelgem (Belgium) every week we come together and discus and criticize photo’s of the club members. In the past years, I learned a lot out of this discussions!
With the examples in this bundle, I’m able to learn from the critic sessions Blake hold. By this I’m sure to improve at least at this aspects:
– improve my own skills and make better photographs in the end
– compare the way of criticize by Blake and my own club
– make colleagues clear that photographing in RAW and use a good workflow for the post processing really makes a difference!

Zone System Express is a very powerful Photoshop tool. However the imagemaker still needs a vision or a sense of the destination that the development will reach. These critiques are a good way to experience how destinations can be visualized and then tools put to use to reach them.

Blake, while I haven’t watched all 37 critiques yet, the ones I reviewed so far are “out-of-sight!” I’m learning much from the courses on the ZSE6, but seeing you use the panels to actually apply the “effects” and “refinements” to photos from others, is somehow much more powerful for me, than just seeing you do it with the “training” images in the lessons. What is even better, is getting your “artistic logic” for making the changes you do. This technique ties education and application together in an awesome way! I’m even more excited now about using ZSE6 on my images, and can’t wait to learn more! You’re my favorite “photoshop training guru!”
