    I knew the old course and thought this might be a nice refresher and course to the changes PS did to gradients…
    Holy Cow! I could not have been more wrong – WHAT A COURSE!
    This is all about gradients, but really comprehensive, on a level of deeper insights and understanding about why and how I can use gradients in my work, even in compositing. Love it!

    I actually purchased this and several other courses so I could have the downloaded software to refer to often. With Blake’s excellent teaching, I went from not understanding and thus never using, solid colors with blend modes, gradients for sure, and tone/color sculpting. I still have a long ways to go in using these tools to achieve the artistic effects I desire, but I can certainly say I am now comfortable experimenting and evaluating my images for tone, color, effects (Blake’s mantra).

    Hi Blake, your webinar and tools are always brilliant and inspiring. I am mostly a bird photographer but always learn something useful with you. I was doubtful that I could come up with bird pictures in black and white that would have the appeal of the coloured ones originally created. This is my first attempt with your new B&W conversion method. I must say that the results are sufficiently convincing and interesting to motivate the pursuit of more bird photography in B&W and beyond color. I can see a future for B&W bird images in my portfolio and love how the gradients can be used to refine some aspects of coloured images too. Thanks again and looking forward to your next course.

    As usual, Blake uses his inquisitive, analytical brain to go deeper into how a tool or feature works than most, then uses his creative brain to come up with more uses for that tool or feature than are commonly thought of. And after that, he uses his talent to teach me like I’m five—in easy to understand ways with both language and art, which quickly becomes an unforgettable addition to my workflow. Of course, he also always gives us extra tools to make it extra easy on us.

    I’m happy with “Beyond Colour”. I derived useful knowledge of the area and I have been actively testing it with my own photographs. If I had one comment, I would say that I haven’t seen a lot of benefit from the actions. As such, I’m exploring gradients without them. Not a bad thing.
    I regret that I am unable to join you on September 21 as I will be traveling at that time. Thank you for making this information available. Great value!

    I have been using Photoshop for many many years – but realised in the first video lesson that Blake was going to fill the gaps for me. There are many videos available on YouTube – and many great ones, but they cover little bits only. This course addresses the whole topic.     Very useful. I do wish you would be more adventurous in you samples. Your second round with the AI picture of a camera and candles could be stretched to a much more moody picture. But maybe I quibble…… At least I am learning how I can push. I’ve been using Photoshop for many years, and you are opening up a whole new area to work with.

    The course is excellent, with a superb upgrade/update from the earlier gradients course.

    The addition of the gradients and actions is welcome.

    My only suggestion: update the Palette Effects Panel to include the new black & white process, and add some of these other actions to the panel as well !

    This course is a great update to the original gradient course (which I had previously taken). It helps bring a greater understanding to the other numerous places gradients show up in the various courses and tools Blake produces. His clear explanation behind the new Photoshop gradient tool, and how to successfully work with it, is the best reason I would recommend this course. Great courses such as this is why I have continued to be an f.64 Elite member for over two years.
